A free verse response to writing and living prompt one knot at a time

Some months the waves are crashing on the shore beating a path towards me warning me to stay where I am. Some months they are calm and serene inviting me to come and join them.
This is the main difference in my days during times of pandemic change, to swim or not to swim, to snorkel or not to snorkel.
Breakfast is usually from the same menu card I have written for myself tomato’s on toast, black tea accompanied with a second mug and chocolate!
I sit with my saviours of sanity, my Computer, pen and notebook. Writing, reading, engaging without which I would be truly lost. Walking breaks, swimming breaks, a beer at sunset before writing, reading, engaging starts once again.
Sure, my patient wife and her granddaughter provide plenty of funny distraction during our meals together. Today on their return after family visits, we shall glide in the canoe in a most comical manner; something a bit different.
