Gather Writing Ideas and Select From Them When You Get Ready to Put Your Written Story Together

If you can get started with your simple outline and create what intent you want your information to achieve, you can see if the meaning and copy match up. It is like seeing an apple on a bowl of oranges when the ideas do not belong together.

When first starting to gel an idea for a book, you write a lot of extra information that does not add to what you want the outcome to be. It is better to write down the thoughts and the information and collect your data so you can edit later. Then you can evaluate what is adding to your content and what is subtracting.

Just do it, get all of the apples and oranges together and separate them later when you are closer to deciding on the exact content you want to include.

Who knows, you might have two books instead of one. All of the apple thoughts and all of the orange thoughts could result in two different approaches to the same primary overall writing objective. Each is a viable way to present the information and will appeal to other readers.

Recognize when the ideas do not belong together

In allowing yourself to have a larger pool of ideas to select from, you will have a more well-written final draft. Try to limit the content along the way and determine what to include in that manner. You can sometimes see that what you thought was extra information will just fit perfectly into an area of your story.

Better to have more choices from information to select from, so your outcome will be more than the sum of the individual parts. I always enjoy the surprise of putting thoughts together. I can often see how they can explain intent in a more fantastic way than I had imagined when I began to write.

You will hear authors say a story evolved as they were writing it. That is what I mean by allowing it to come together. Ease of composing is where you want to aspire to as an author.
