Enjoy the Life Right Now!

“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
Well, life is about balance. We can’t just sit and enjoy. We have to fend for ourselves.
Life needs love and connections. Love is a precious commodity. I know it comes if duty is discharged.
To discharge duty, one needs livelihood and savings. It’s not easy. This effort takes much of our time and focus.
We must do it. There is no glory in being a swindler or a parasite. But when it’s done and being done, we may carve out time to enjoy life. Don’t put it off till the end. We don’t know when the end will be — today, tomorrow, or twenty years later. It’s mysterious. We’ve got to enjoy it right now. This unwinding will be the fuel to keep us going.

So, work for sure, but put aside time and zeal to: - Appreciate the sparkling supermoon. - Check the fuzzy sori underneath the fern frond. - Enthrall self with the superbloom flowers. - Enjoy the fall colors on the aspens. - Soak in the resplendent sunset before it turns to twilight. - Inhale the fragrance of the Arabian jasmine or citrus blossoms. - Contemplate the geological formations. - Pick some river-smoothed pebbles and do some art. - See a cicada adult emerge from its nymph exoskeleton. - Admire the resilience of cacti growing on cliff walls.
In a nutshell, appreciate the little things, around you.
These discoveries will enrich you. You will never be bored or feel poor. You will respect nature. If not all, at least some puzzles of life will be decoded. It will be called a life well-spent.
