Enjoy A Quiet Afternoon at A Lovely Spot in Switzerland

At high altitudes, there is beautiful scenery and more…

In the eyes of many people, Switzerland is a country that is as beautiful as paradise. There are mountains and rivers which are all yearning and nostalgic.

However, many famous attractions are usually filled with a large number of tourists, crowded and noisy. On the contrary, less famous attractions are more attractive.

We happened to learn that there is a viewpoint from where you can see the panorama of the area where we live. It is not a renowned one, but it triggered our curiosity.

On a sunny afternoon, we decided to visit this spot. Following the guidance of the navigation, we quickly arrived at the parking lot near the top of the mountain.

We abandoned the car and walked into the forest. There should be only a short walk to the viewpoint.

But at the end of the path three forks appeared and there was no clear sign for the viewpoint.

Intuitively, we chose the middle way which led us to a place. What we saw was a red bench, where it was lying alone, as if waiting for someone to come.

Dense trees were growing around the place, the sun shone through the trees and left a fragmented shadow on the ground.

The lush foliage blocked our view.

Where was the viewpoint?🤨

It was quiet. Still no sign! No other people around either.

Ahead of us was a deep valley, there was no way to go; retreat to try a new path?

We looked around and found that on the left of the place was a cliff with a smooth surface with an inscription on it.

We leaned forward to read the above text. It turned out to be to commemorate a forest ranger. People thanked him for his contribution to the maintenance of the forest.

Observing carefully, we could see some messy stairs on the other side of the cliff. They were broken, must have been in disrepair for years.

We climbed up very cautiously. As we approached the top, bright sunshine was blowing. With the last step being stepped on, we came to a wide platform, and our view was opened wide immediately. It felt delighted.

At the same time, we saw an elder couple sitting on a bench with kettles and cups on the stone table in front of them. Seemed they were just enjoying their coffee time.

We were all surprised a little by the sudden appearance of each other. But the scenery in front of our eyes surprised us even more.

A panoramic view of the entire urban area at one glance!

It was the viewpoint! We finally found it.

On the ground, we usually look at the surrounding things and landscapes from a head-up perspective.

When it comes to high altitudes, even the familiar places become unfamiliar because of the lengthening of the distance, which makes people discover more beauty and produces special feelings.

We took out a camera and captured the amazing views excitedly.

The couple has been infected by our enthusiasm. They handed us a mobile phone and asked us to take a picture of them with the background of the beautiful view.

“It looks better without glasses, right?” The lady took off her glasses.

“You look beautiful as always!” He responded to her,

Her cheeks got red like a little girl.

They stand close and smiled together into the camera.

What a happy couple!😍

Throughout the whole afternoon, we have enjoyed the wonderful view. Except for us, no more other tourists came up.

The elder couple showed us another safe and easy way to go down the cliff before they said goodbye. We watched them supported each other on crutches and left.

We don’t know who they are and where are they come from. But here we have met, at a lovely spot in Switzerland.

We are ordinary people, we have a simple life, and our joy is simple too.

Finding an uncrowded viewpoint and having fun by spending a nice and peaceful afternoon made our day.
