Endings

Look for the little clues

I feel another ending coming up

through the soles of my feet

My angel speaks to me in

little riddles, a hushed voice,

testing me to see if I will hear the echoes.

And I do hear them, dazzling clear,

I hear her speak of the upcoming ending

Through a finished shampoo bottle,

a completed Netflix series,

a book whose last page has turned

And yes, it is time for me

to move on, I surmise.

Every ending is also a beginning

I will welcome new energy into my life, tomorrow

But today, I –

Look back, memorize, breathe, leave.
