Empty World: Dead Planet
A World of Few People and Many Dangers
The desert sand sizzles under the blazing summer sun. No creatures are scurrying in this baking, arid desert; no trees for shelter nor plants for sustenance.
The land to the north is irradiated. No one knows what awaits in the south; the high jagged cliffs, with no water for miles, make travel impossible. A death sentence.
The oceans are long gone, and a boat rests at the edge of a great trench, the Mariana. At the easternmost edge, there’s a set of stairs carved in stone. Covered in cracks, it’s clear they’re unstable.
It’s one of the few places left that provides cool temperatures and shade; it’s one of only two places where clean water still flows. The chasm is dark and deep, but not quiet. Spindly plants grow along the walls, and down below, creatures growl in the void, blind and hungry.
