I want to talk to you about what I believe is one of the most important components to the manifestation of your spiritual growth and finding your purpose in life. I also want to share with you why this concept is not always taught very responsibly, and why misunderstanding this concept can be potentially dangerous. That concept is, the emotional guidance system. Most people believe that their emotions are untrustworthy or unreliable. People have a love-hate relationship with their emotions because they love when they feel good but they hate when they feel bad.

Unfortunately, this dysfunctional relationship with our emotions is the norm in our society. I’m going to make a statement that’s probably gonna shock some people and potentially even trigger some egos to feel angry. That statement is this your emotions are always correct not only are they always correct but they are the highest source of wisdom that you have access to.

Emotions are so important in the law of attraction, but what doesn’t get talked about very often is where this understanding can go wrong. It potentially gets you into all kinds of trouble. One of the phrases that get used a lot in the spiritual community is “follow your joy, and it’s oftentimes used as a kind of band-aid for people that are going through difficult times in life. Somebody might be feeling very depressed and their friend says to them you’re just focusing on all the wrong things; You need to just start following your joy.

Following your joy is true, but it’s important to know why it’s true and what it means. The vast majority of people believe that saying follow your joy means doing whatever you think feels good at the moment. This is the first big misunderstanding of the emotional guidance system. Our emotions are never speaking to our circumstances. They’re not telling us to do anything. Our emotions are only speaking to whether or not our perspective is in alignment with the perspective of the source, also known as God or the Heaven within.

Imagine a scenario about the woman, who recently ended a relationship after being betrayed. She visits a bar and meets a man who flirts with her, and given her current situation, she finds the attention exciting. If she reinstated her friend’s suggestion to pursue happiness, she may interpret it as accepting the man’s proposal to go home with him that night.

This might feel good in the moment, but upon waking up the next day, let’s say the guy doesn’t text her back. She realizes that he simply used her to be another body on his belt. Not to mention the fact that this guy could have potentially been a dangerous person. Now, she feels used and naive, and she’s twice as depressed about her life as she was the day before.

By using this example, we can gain a clearer understanding of the following principle: our emotions never reflect the circumstances we encounter. They merely reflect how we perceive ourselves. Aligning our image, which is that of the universe, can give us a sense of fulfilling feelings. If we view ourselves as contradictions to universal consciousness, negative emotions arise. By expressing these signals, our higher self communicates that we have assumed a perspective that clashes with that of higher consciousness.

Essentially, your feelings serve as an indication of whether your reasoning aligns with the ultimate truth or not.

However, the ego can manipulate our emotions by presenting them with a distorted interpretation to misguide us. It encourages us to categorize every emotion as either an ally or foe in a bid to attach or to cause conflict, both of which strengthen the ego’s dominance.

Your emotions can also work in your favor. It is a guidance system, after all. Accurate information is provided as well, so you can usually pinpoint what caused your suffering. when you think a thought that makes you feel bad, that’s because it’s not true. If you think a thought that makes you feel good that’s because it is true.

The cause of your depression might be the thought or belief that I can not have something that I desire. That negative emotion is your Higher Self letting you know that’s not true. “You can always have what you desire”. The root of your fear might be the belief that you will fail at something if you try. Through this negative emotion, the Higher Self is signaling you that this is incorrect. “You are capable”. There is no such thing as failure in God’s universe. You either succeed or you learn, and both are seen as a success from God’s perspective.

Learning helps us to evolve, and success shows us where we have already evolved. so, truly speaking, there are no mistakes in the universe. “There’s only the expansion of consciousness”. Certain decisions that we make create suffering for us ,and it is our suffering that infuses us with the motivation to spiritually evolve. We begin to have less and less tolerance for inauthenticity. If we want to end our suffering, then we have to begin learning wisdom and self-love. There are no wrong decisions, but there are helpful and less helpful decisions. Also, there are easy and difficult consequences to certain actions.

Nobody ever changes until they truly desire it. From the outside, it might look like somebody is regressing and making poor decisions with their life. The suffering that they are creating is causing them to move one step closer to desiring that change. They’re ultimately still moving closer to alignment with the source. This is why judgment towards yourself or another is always useless. When you come into alignment with who you are, you naturally start paying a lot more attention to what you are feeling and a lot less to what you are thinking.

By embracing the emotional guidance system and minding our feelings, we can start to correct our thinking and find happiness. After all, our first duty and obligation to the world is to be as happy as we can possibly be, right?

Remember to think less and feel more. Listen to your emotions, trust them, and use them as a tool to correct your thinking and perception of yourself. Your emotional guidance system is always correct. By minding your feelings, you can find your purpose and grow. spiritually.
