Emotional Highs, Emotional Lows

A Poem

Being pulled in many directions, wondering if you can do it all. Knowing you have to, knowing you can. Everyone is counting on you.

Emotional highs, emotional lows. A never-ending roller coaster. How do you slow it down? How do you enjoy the ride?

He finally takes notice of you. Your name oozes off his lips. A wave of excitement tingles up your spine. Intoxicated by his sultry voice.

A little tired, you try to hang on. Difficult personalities bring you down. You try to enjoy the present. While hoping for a better future.

Emotional highs, emotional lows. How do you make it stop?

An invitation from an old friend, leads to traveling abroad. Unexpected and spontaneous. Time to rejuvenate your soul.

Enjoy the ride, my friend. Life is about living. Let go, and enjoy the high.
