ILLUMINATION disappeared from writers’ account, please be patient

Dear writers,

We received hundreds of inquires within the last hour, informing us that they are removed from ILLUMINATION.

Some writers are unable to add stories to the publication at this time.

The publication queue is receiving no stories.

I can assure you that we did not remove any writers intentionally.

This incident looks like a system glitch to us. I informed Medium Helpdesk.

If you see this message, please leave a comment with your Medium ID, and we will try to add you back as a writer.

We have over 8,000 writers. I hope not all writers were affected by this incident.

Please also contact other editors and me on our Slack channel by providing your account ID. The best option is to link your profiles to the #writerstobeadded channel.

We will do our best to add you back to the ILLUMINATION.

I added a few writers in the last 30 minutes or so, but some writers informed me that the publication disappeared from their profile again.

I have no clue right now why this is happening.

The only difference in the publication interface is a new button was added. The interface was different before. We assume Medium added a new code to the publication system.

I am very sorry to witness this unexpected situation, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hopefully, Medium Staff will help us sort this issue ASAP.

Let’s be patient.

We will do our best to solve this problem.

In the meantime, if you have time sensitive stories you can add them to ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR. You are welcome to transfer them to ILLUMINATION when it gets back.

Update

Dear writers, we tried to add as many writers as possible from notifications in emails, private messages, and Slack workspace within the last few hours. However, added accounts keep disappearing. There appears to be a problem with the Medium publication system. Help Desk informed that a ticket was created for the engineering department to review.

I keep receiving emails and private messages from upset writers. I understand the impact hence posted this short-form to inform.
