Emergency Emergency !!!
An important message for all Illumination writers
Yesterday all hell let loose on Medium due to some technical glitch which had almost everybody scratching their heads in puzzlement.
On Slack word quickly began to get around that writers, lots, had been removed from our main pub Illumination. Unfortunately many writers presumed that we at Illumination had taken it upon ourselves to remove writers for no apparent reason, let alone a good one. It was as if the whole place had caught fire and we were evacuating the building, throwing everybody out on the street.
In a very short time complaints began to flow in to Dr Mehmet Yildiz. Strike the word flow, he was absolutely besieged by irate writers demanding to know what they had done to deserve such appalling treatment. It is somewhat ironic that when we are in the business of trying to grow our writer base we appeared to be whittling it down. No such thing. And it did not only effect writers, quite a few editors were removed too! Then, in some cases, when writers were restored they were once again removed.
What happened was way beyond our control and our understanding. We just could not figure it out. And we have heard on the grapevine that the problem was not restricted to our Illumination pub, others have had similar problems. My guess is that somebody in the Medium engine room sat back on a console to drink his or her morning coffee and their left arse cheek accidentally flipped a switch which opened a stage trap door through which the whole chorus line and a few stars fell headlong into the abyss screaming "B@st@rd", or something like that.
As of today things have quietened down somewhat, but we are still in the dark about what happened. Please bear with us and submit your Illumination pieces to Illumination Mirror if you can and mention that you would like it to be in our flagship publication Illumination.
