We need more of that in the world, don’t you think? Besides, writing vulnerable stories is not for the meek, nor is shedding light on uncomfortable truths.

But only passion or fury is not enough to get your message across. Writers need guidance as well as another pair of eyes to look over their work.

It can be frustrating trying to comb through so many articles on how to write this and that. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a group of people cheering you on and showing you the ropes?

And that’s where our writing community comes in.

With the right guidance and consistent practice, it can resonate powerfully. This community is a constructive space where you can workshop your essays, discuss your challenges, and receive peer support.

The aim is to publish one article a week.

In addition, you’ll get access to our Slack group. Whether you’re struggling with the title, the introduction, or how to write a powerful essay, you’ll find your answers there.

The desire is there, but sometimes, the skill is not up to par and that’s because the writers don’t have any guidance.

I want to support these writers but don’t always have the time. So I thought, why not start a group to support each other on Zoom?

I don’t know what this group will turn into. But I know how important it is for writers — like you — not to give up and keep using your voice to tell the story that needs to be told.

The Bitchy Writer’s Collective is only for published writers at Bitchy.

It’s suited for those looking for support (writing can be a lonely job) and guidance to become better writers of opinions and persuasive essays.

It’s a weekly 90-minute Zoom session. It’s every Friday at 5 pm CEST (I live in Germany so please remember to adjust to your time zone).
