Elephants

You are strong and magnificent beings,

Wise and knowledgable with a kind heart.

Your memories prevail,

Embedded in your heart.

You know your path to the past.

Walking the walk,

Protecting your own.

You are strong and mightily,

Yet gentle and kind.

You bring the knowledge that we all need.

Love for each other,

Love for the land.

Joyful play in the water,

A slow walk on your path.

Strength of a gentle giant.

I admire your being. My heart cries for your suffering.

My eyes light up with joy:

I see your magnificent being roaming free on the land.

I hope that one day,

People could be as wise as you,

My magnificent friend.

The Elephant.

With love from my heart, I wish you freedom and joy,

With each step on your path.

Thank you Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles for your inspiring photography challenge about the elephants. I don't have a lot of access to see elephants and I had never seen one outside of being in the zoo.

I hope one day I will be able to see elephants out on the land, enjoying themselves. Until then I have my little figurines and paper elephant given to me by my daughter and my sister NomadlandArt as they know how much I love elephants.
