Eighth Day Prompt Of Lifeline Poetry Contest
It’s time to realize your desires
Hello all,
I am here with another prompt for Lifeline Poetry Contest. Today’s the eighth day of this contest.
Today’s theme is “Desire”.
We all have so many desires to fulfill in our life. Desire means a strong feeling of wanting something. It can be anything.
Desires are a great way to keep yourself motivated. They will inspire you to work and achieve success.
Your purpose in life will decide the desire of life. Everyone wants different things in life. Some people want money and others want satisfaction. It is dependent on the person.
Dreams create desires. Desire will help you to do something meaningful in your life.
Dreams and desires are both different things. As per Oxford University, the definition of Dreams is a series of events or pictures which happen in your mind while you are asleep. The dream is an imaginary thing when desire is a real thing.
To achieve anything you first have to establish a deep desire within you. You have to tell your mind that what you want and what will work for you. If you want to be a creator, inventor or entrepreneur then you need to have a very strong desire in life.
There are some of the common desires we want as human beings which are very basic.
So, here are some of them.
Peace
Satisfaction
Strength
Love
Knowledge
Freedom
Life without a desire is like a body without a soul. How can you live a meaningful life without having any desires? You are not here to breathe, live and die one day.
You are here for some meaningful desires to fulfill. You are here for a reason. Once, you find your reasons you will be able to figure out your desires.
“I think anything is possible if you have the mindset and the will and desire to do it and put the time in”. -Roger Clemens
When you have a strong desire, anything is possible.
So, as a writer imagine yourself as the main character of your life. And think about what kind of story you want to write.
Today’s Prompt is, as the main character of your story, what do you really, really want? Don’t write so many random things, just talk about the thing you want, in all its desirable specificity. Let yourself get caught up in all that wanting.
I am sure you all have that one special thing that you want to acquire in life.
Share your inner side and make yourself free.
I am grateful to all of you for your wonderful responses to this poetry contest. Thanks a lot
