Eggs! Joyful Photo Magic!

Summer Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Shine!”

“Here! Look, there are four eggs!”

First, my mother called me and suspected there was something big between the branches. “Wooh, a big nest with fluffy things,” she said.

“What?” I replied. I told her I would not want to see it if that was a gigantic ball of a spider web.

She then gazed at the branches and turned to me. “No. I see FOUR eggs!”

I couldn’t believe it. But I grabbed my smartphone. I was so prepared to zoom in and take a photo. As I approached, she pulled down the branch for me and said “Here! Look, there are four eggs!” “!?” I was so surprised. First, I didn’t expect it was at this height. Second, the nest was beautifully made and wide enough so I could easily see the eggs and take a photo.

According to what people say about the color pattern and the number of eggs in one nest, it seemed those eggs belonged to a mother of Brown-eared Bulbul. I hoped all babies could hatch from their eggs successfully and fly away safely.

Right before writing this photo story, I looked at the photo again, and it made me smile.

Thank you, Mary Chang Story Writer, for this photo story challenge!
