Education Is An Endless Springboard
It’s Not The Finish Line.

It’s taught you far more than your classes. It’s NOT the finish line.
It doesn’t define (or limit) where you take your career next.
You might get a chuckle out of my educational path.
My clerk typist certificate is from a small educational consortium in northern Alberta.
My diploma from Red Deer College is from the legal assistant program.
My degree is in law in the liberal arts with a minor in Soviet East European studies. Seriously, that still makes me chuckle.
What on earth was I thinking I’d ever do with that degree??
As an entrepreneur, recruiter, author, and speaker — one would have assumed my education should have been in English, Business, Entrepreneurial studies, or HR. It clearly wasn’t.
My education taught me how to write, how to position an argument, and how to balance a very full course load while working and going to school.
In short, it taught me how to work super hard. And how to use that knowledge in completely unrelated career choices.
You get to decide the many amazing and creative ways to use your education.
No matter what point you’re at in your career or how many years ago you were in school.
And, that’s straight from a legal assistant, law in the liberal arts with a minor in Soviet East European studies degree holder….who launched a recruitment firm and write a best-selling book. GRIN.
