Learning to Let Go

Listening to your heart is also important

Have you ever wondered if you truly want to persevere?

You are always told to finish what you have already started, no matter the journey. Be aware that this is not true. You do you. This applies to everything you have in your mind. Even if it's one that your family wants you to do, your friends want you to do, or anyone else, care for yourself and only what's in your thoughts and heart.

This will also be the matter if you were like me. I was eager to join the cheerleading squad, looking forward to all the stunts and moves. Oh did I not foresaw that because I was one of the smallest, I was going to be one that would be “thrown around”. I wanted to accomplish one of my goals but yes…I’m afraid of heights. So that dream went directly to the drain.

I still love doing some moves and jumps but just for entertainment.

This short-form was inspired by the following prompt:

This may be a simple goal that I decided to end but I was thinking of preserving it all the way and put behind one of my fears. I was doing great but in the end, even my mental health was beginning to have a hit. If it’s simple or complicated goals, analyze if they truly make you happy and if it also brings you joy in your path to accomplishing it.
