Echoing Shakespeare for Thee
A scientific poem!
Should I compare thee
To the temperate temperature
And perfect visibility
Of a spring day?
Should I compare thy proportion
To the fearful cemetery
Of Blake’s Tyger?
Or the sequence of Fibonacci?
Should I compare thy trunk
With the bell curve
Arising from the tendency
Of our random existence
To revert to the normalcy
Of the mean (Without debating
Definitional accuracy)?
Are you the personification
Of Newton’s laws of motion?
Testing the action and reaction
Of the mettle of my emotion?
Are you a square? A right-angle triangle?
A pentagon? Maybe you are a beautiful oval?
Or a circle? Or, perhaps, David’s star?
Would you moderate thyself towards me,
In the Keynesian dead long run,
If left unhindered or untroubled?
