Easter Gift Giving

When did it become a thing?

I don’t buy Easter presents , not even for my grandson. But he received presents from Carl’s family. Maybe it’s just them who give Easter gifts?

When I was a kid, and when my children were kids, we put out a basket or a bonnet filled with straw (or cut grass) for the Easter Bunny to deliver a few eggs. I always hoped for chocolate eggs but always had at least one of those disgusting sugar eggs. Bloody Bunny! Doesn’t he know I hate them?

So I never put those yukky eggs in my kids’ baskets, only chocolate — and that’s all they got. No toys or books or clothes — all gifts Caelin received today. All I gave him was me for a few hours. We (aka me) made the best bubbles and he tried to chase them to pop them.
