Early-flowering Honeysuckle Greets Blue Sky to Celebrate New Year

The dreaded tax return expects to be done. Again.

I have many different types of honeysuckle in my garden and this one is the earliest of them to flower.

The blue sky was somewhat fleeting, but much appreciated for the time it showed itself.

There are a couple of magnificent silk-tassel bushes in the neighbourhood . They are now showing off their long, silvery catkins among their very green, evergreen leaves.

My coffee machine has always been my favourite indoor machine, but it has now got competition in a keyboard. I’m going to learn to play piano! Oh, yes, I am!

Oh My Dog — PupperJack’s giving me THAT look again. It’s his: “You’re starting something ELSE’, look. I thought you were learning Welsh, and now it turns out you’re learning piano … I thought you were sorting out the whole house; and now it’s piano … What about your tax return?”

Uh, well, PupperJack — I AM sorting out the whole house this year, and I’m learning piano this year, and I’m learning Wel… — well, maybe Finnish, actually, but a language of some sort.

PupperJack: “Finnish!”

“Hmmm … You’re right, PupperJack — first I have to get all my paperwork sorted and tax return done. (Eek!)

Accountmutt is good at rounding up the figures! (Let’s hope I am, too!)

Mind you, most doggos are good at crunching numbers. Oh, yes!

January is definitely the Month of Paperwork!
