Having Sprained My Ribs

I can barely move

Last Monday my spine twisted and I experienced horrendous pain. My spine is fragile due to my neurological disease.

I called for paramedics, giving as much information as I could while crying with pain. When they arrived and found me on the floor, they assumed I had fallen. They got me up, which was painful on top of my pain. To cut a long story short, they left in a wheelchair in a waiting room.

I took out the canula with which they had administered a very tiny amount of morphine which lost effect halfway to the hospital. I discharged myself and got a taxi home. The taxi driver was kinder than the paramedics. (They were not NHS.)

It took five days to see a doctor. When I did, I saw an excellent locum. He was so careful, so gentle, so thorough. So easy to talk to. He diagnosed sprained ribs and said that it would take a while to heal. I am on strong painkillers.

Now, when I am alone, the pain feels worse. I have tried to read those I follow but it is so hard, even with listening, as lying flat is all I can manage.

I am sorry that I cannot keep up for the time being. I will try when I can. I have other things going on in my life too. I sleep at odd times as pain is tiring.

Thank you to those who read me regularly. I appreciate you, and love reading your stories.

If you pray, please pray for me. Any positive thought is appreciated.
