Dualism in America
The duality is inherent in the thought-process of the people
Dualism(Noun)
The division of something conceptually into two opposed or contrasted aspects, or the state of being so divided.
I hate hype, more often than not, they have hurt my expectations. I always make it a point to not hype it up when I recommend something, when I recommend Breaking Bad to someone, I tell them that the first few episodes can be boring and dull. Nevertheless, Breaking Bad is already hyped up but is also one of the rarest things that still live up to the hype. I was sceptical when I thought I would start watching Dark because the reviews were phenomenal. It took me much longer than I usually do to start a series which’s reputation preceded its name. I started it last week, and so far so good. One of the episodes briefly touched upon the topic of dualism, how we humans are wired to think in ‘duality’, and that too naturally. Black and White, Left and Right, Up and Down and so forth.
This episode triggered another thought in my mind, one that had been sleeping for too long that I almost mistook it for dead. I always wondered why America has only TWO political parties. I was not aware of other small parties back then, but even when I do now, it goes without saying that the Democrats and the Republicans have a duopoly in the US.
I come from a land of extreme diversity. I come from India, the second-most populous nation in the world. We have 29 States, 22 Languages, 8 National Parties and millions of differences! When I hear about the ‘Black’ problems in America, I get jealous. I envy the racial discrimination problem the US has because it is projected as if they have only two! The Blacks and the Whites! In India, if it ever comes down under 10, I would call that a major win!
Dualism Is America’s Way of Trivializing Things
I believe that America consoles itself by thinking and approaching problems in ‘Dual’, whereas, in reality, they have more problems than that. What about the ‘Browns’, ‘Jews’, ‘Mexicans’ and other communities?
An issue of corruption made way for the formation of a new power in Indian politics, way back in 2012. We don’t believe in dualism, we believe in solutions. Are the entire population of America either happy with Democrats or Republicans? There is not a ‘’third’ category who is fed up of both? Would a third alternative power ever rise in the political milieu of the US? When will the US have a ‘Brown Lives Matter’ rally?
The Inherent Thought Process
I admire the Blacks for their perseverance and their energy, against fighting the stigma. I admire their strength and passion. I admire their beauty and brotherhood. I wish other communities reacted the same way to the discrimination that they face on a day to day basis in the US.
The problem is the thought process. The third eye is under a pile of debris, away from all the noise and dust. It is inherent, a curse upon the community. They have been adding piles and piles of debris on their dormant consciousness of the Third Eye, which has impaired their vision into ‘Duality’.
Once we acknowledge the problems around us, in its true form and seriousness, without trying to simplify it, we might be able to cope up with the problems in an effective way.
Left, Centre and Right. Past, Present and Future.

Of the People,
By the People,
For the People,
shall not perish from the Earth.”
