You had 10 times to try to pass which is fair, but it still made it difficult to pass the test. I took my time, went back over the text many times but they still said that I didn’t pass yet. The results they gave you for the test did not give you a good indication of why you didn’t pass.</p><p id="87a8">I found another legitimate website, in which I did pass the test. However, they don’t have tests all the time. They also are pretty much worldwide. When they listed 30 or 40 tests in one group on your screen that you could do, they literally disappeared in seconds where other people claimed them. Then you might have to wait anywhere from 10 min

The problem I had was it they didn’t have many test jobs for you to do.</p><p id="23bb">I do plan on revisiting this type of side job because I will have one of my computers solely logged on to the site so when tests come up, I will be ready to click on them to accept them. The pay for each test is pretty good for the time spent, however, there is not a lot of them out there. They may pay $10 a test but you may only get one a day or maybe two or three. But if I’m working other jobs, when I see them pop up, I will stop working on one computer and do a test.</p><h2 id="59e5">Two opportunities that I am concentrating on</h2><p id="16fe">A very popular topic that YouTubers recommend is to start a YouTube channel. I do believe this is a legitimate way to earn money as you need to work at it. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme. I have a plan on creating a channel about tech but I’m going to approach it a different way than others have. I am doing the preliminary work now and will start it soon.</p><p id="738d">And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for. As you can tell by this story, I picked Medium as the best way to try to earn money and have fun doing it. But you can’t go into it thinking you are going to make a full-time income right away. Or in fact, you may not make any money for a while.</p><p id="79b1">In my opinion from my research, I believe that Medium is the best legitimate platform right now that could lead to making a decent income. And I also believe that this could lead to other ways to add to your income. There are many opportunities that Medium can give you that you won’t even think of. You may be surprised by the result of my journey.

When I was let go from my job, and no opportunities were offered after a year of job hunting, I decided to turn to the internet to check out side gigs. I thought I could do a few side jobs and combine them to equal full-time hours.

I had no one in my circle of contacts to ask for any advice, so I was on my own.

Upwork / Fiverr Contract jobs

These were two of the many sites for contractors to bid on jobs that are advertised. While I know some people have done well and can say great things about the site, it seems it is not for everyone. Even though I was coding for years, I didn’t have the newer skills needed to bid on most of the tasks needed.

I found jobs that I thought I could do, like static websites or documentation, but I can’t do them for $2.00 an hour for a multiple-page website or data entry work. I know you can get faster at doing the jobs, but I am competing with other world economies where a lower price can be bid.

Even though these sites were not for me at this time, I do plan on coming back in the future once I’m settled with a few other side jobs that help me right now.

Microwork jobs

I found many websites that provide small “micro” jobs that can be done in minutes. YouTubers that described these sites would advertise you could make $30, 40$, or $50 an hour, or even $300 a day.
