Dream The Impossible DREAM

My wife and I boarded the plane for India in 1990. Our second international flight in three weeks. Arriving back home from a church conference in Korea gave us one week to pack for the trip to India. At the Korean church conference, we sat and listened. India would be different.

Why?

We were invited to teach at a Bible school for pastors and ministers of the gospel. To preach in India was a serious matter to us. We desired to present leadership and family issues — the scriptures as our primary text.

Psalms chapter 20 made our mission worthwhile.

Psalms Twenty, Our Inspiration.

Psalms Chapter 20 is a prayer prayed before the battle. Some say this chapter does not apply to us. Its purpose was a history lesson about King David entering a fight. I beg to differ! We are to learn from history, isn’t this a correct assumption?

May He grant you according to your heart’s desire And fulfill all your purpose. We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Psalms 20: 4–5 (My emphasis)

Results Matter!

So, we went with the understanding God will guide us during the two weeks of instruction in the Bible School. The Lord fulfilled all our petitions. How do we know? Well, we continued to speak every year at this school for the next ten years. How great is our God! We give all the glory to our Lord for undoubtedly He enabled us to do what we could never imagine possible.

What about YOU?

I have a question for you. What is your ‘heart’s desire’? I implore you to think beyond the possible.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9: 23

Dream the impossible DREAM.

Believe me when I say, to teach the Bible in India was far more than I thought possible. But it happens! Again and again, explaining the gospel in other nations. God is GOOD.

Get this in your spirit.

Read Psalms 20 until you have this truth down deep within your soul. Our Lord wants to fulfill your God-given desires. Yes, He does. What he did for me He can do for you.
