POETRY
Dream A Little Dream
Existential reflection, stillness.
The whole world spins.
It spins, and you feel lighter.
You’re standing very still
In a spinning world,
In a life that’s not yours,
In a dream you’re not dreaming.
You are not who you are;
You are not what could be.
You follow through on another’s fate.
Someday, you might carve your way out.
Maybe when the world stops spinning,
Maybe when you start moving,
Maybe when you know where to go,
Maybe if you know when to go.
But for now, you’re standing very still
In a spinning world,
In a life that’s not yours,
In a dream you’re not dreaming.
