Downward Spiral

When your loved one keeps hurting you

Cold I’m trembling with shivers

Because…

Your heart is cold It only warms when it suits your needs Other than that, it stays dead; it doesn’t have a heartbeat

I only make sense When you’ve fallen into the deep When everything we see has disappeared beneath

Your love is conditional But you make it seem so real; you deserve a medal I only realize this when I pause and push the brake pedal

You’ve lost me 100 times I always come back, though like something divine Then I end up leaving, just like last time

When will it end? When will we finally be able to begin? When will you make me feel like you love me as you did way back when?
