Don't You Dare to Look Away While Kids Are Dying in Gaza!

If you ever wondered what you would have done during the holocaust, the civil rights movements, the Bosnian genocide, Armenian genocide? Look at whatever you are doing now for the children in Gaza.

Gaza Death Toll Has Hit 10,000 since October… Almost half of them are children and UN calls this a children’s graveyard.

I've never fully understood how people can approve of genocides or even support them when those things happen whenever I read something horrible in history. The past few months, however, were very educative about that subject. I saw so many peaceful Israeli friends of mine crying for revenge and turned into bloodthirsty fanatics.

Since I follow both Israeli and Gaza journalists. I was shocked by the level of propaganda pushing from the media on the Israeli side. I was shocked at how people all around the world turned their heads to this bloodshed.

I know this is not happening for the first time in history BUT…. This is the first live-streaming genocide that we experienced. That's what makes me terrified…

People always could look away, and not get political when things are not related to them. It was much easier before because you had to expose the bad news only from the newspapers or maybe on TV and most of the time they were(are) corrupt and did not reflect the full truth. At least, they were(are) censoring the triggering content.

So being apolitical in those days was much more acceptable compared to being apolitical in these days. You basically had limited access to the knowledge and it affected your empathy level. However, now there are hundreds, thousands of videos uploading from the Gazza. We are witnessing the tragedy with our own eyes like we are there.

In the past month…

  • I saw a man carrying body parts of his son in plastic bags.
  • I saw lots of kids rescued under rubble dead or alive.
  • I saw so many children covered in blood dead or alive.
  • I saw animals rescued from bombing areas, terrified.
  • I saw a health minister holding a press conference around dead bodies.

I saw all of them so did you…

How can someone keep their conscience clean after seeing something like this and keep being silent?

Millions of people protesting on social media, they are protesting on the streets screaming "Cease Fire Now" yet no one seems to care.

So the big question…

If something like this happens to your country or your people one day, will you despise the people who keep their mouths shut?

How would you feel when you asked them why and they replied like

"Because I don't want to invite bad energy into my life at that moment"

To Israeli friends who will read this post and give comments below:

Yes, what Hamas did was horrible, and yes Hamas is the kids whose parents were killed by this genocide during the past months.

How would you expect those kids to forgive this in the future? They are kids now, innocents… but because of your government's sins, they might turn into Hamas one day.
