Don’t Use Homophones
Use hetrographs and homographs instead
This is a satirical tritriplicata in which I suggest that we should get rid of the word “homophone”. Heterographs are words that sound the same, have different meanings, and are spelled differently while homographs are words that sound the same, have different meanings, and are spelled the same. We should simplify the English language by eliminating the word “homophone”.
Never use Them — homophones. You see, when you see the sea, That’s a heterograph. Play in a play, Play’s a homograph Never use them — homophones. No homophones Ever again.
