Don’t Erase That Smile!
November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Collecting Smiles”
Smiles for every occasion or mistake.
The kidlets love opening up my prize box and seeing what’s on offer.
It’s always a fun surprise because they never quite know what I might have inside. Prizes range from bendy pencils, bouncy balls, slap bands, and an assortment of fancy erasers.
Depending on my mood, I refer to my prize box by various names.
- The Land of Goodies. I have a homemade (library made?) Faraway Tree in the library, and most of the kidlets are familiar with the story.
- The Treasure Chest. My prize box is a small wooden chest that I found for $20 at a flea market, so that name is quite apt.
- The Box of Hard Decisions. Choosing the right prize is HARD.
But no matter what I call it, whenever they see me reaching for the prize box, they know that they’re going to get something special. And that always puts a smile on their face.
