Our bodies are different. You weren’t made like them. The odds of you becoming them were very slim. However, you could still be the best version of you that was possible.
Here are five tips to help you as a writer that you can adopt today.
Create your goal
Idolizing how much someone makes is not the best. You may want to make as much as that person. So make that a goal. You can say, by this time next year, I’ll make $500.00 a month.
Talk less, and write more.
Maybe you talk about what you could do instead of actually doing it. You may be debating in your mind about writing five times instead of three times a week. You have thought about waking up 60 minutes earlier a day to start writing. What is preventing you from doing this?
You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win. Arnold Schwarzenegger
Stop sitting idle when you are waiting for your publisher to release your article.
Too many people are screaming on Facebook, “When is so and so publisher going to publish my work?” This is the time you should be writing your next article. Time is money and you are losing time asking others when so and so is going to publish articles. You don’t control this and neither do other writers. Stop wasting your time and just write.
Sign up for a writer’s class.
Sometimes you have to spend money to take your own skills to the next level. At a certain point, you’ll hit a wall just as if you were running a marathon. You need that extra boost of energy to finish strong. Several writers offer these courses from time to time. Save up your money and be ready to learn from others when the time is right.
Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones that you did. Mark Twain.
Focus, focus, focus.
There are so many distractors in life. Life will throw curveballs at you. This is when you need to stay focused and do the best you can.
