Don’t Be Too Kind: The Tragic Warning of Amélie’s Story (Part 1)

“Girls, you have to learn to protect yourself. Don’t easily offer to ‘escort’ others home.
One afternoon, as light rain drizzled down, Amélie was walking to deliver a jar of preserved garlic for her best friend. She knew her friend loved the preserved garlic that her mother made specially every year at this time.
On the way, Amélie noticed a pregnant woman walking in the rain with a big belly. Suddenly, the pregnant woman fell to the ground. Amélie hurried to help her up, and after a few words, she helped the pregnant woman home, walking with her until they reached the building where she lived. The pregnant woman left her umbrella at the entrance, and after exchanging a few words, they went upstairs together.
After this, Amélie sent a message to her friend: “Escorting a pregnant woman.” “Reached her home.”
Unexpectedly, this loving message became Amélie’s final statement in this world.
Her friend did not receive the jar of preserved garlic that Amélie had intended to deliver. Amélie didn’t come home that night, and her family and friends searched everywhere, reporting her disappearance to the authorities.
A few days later, they received the devastating news from the police: Amélie may have been murdered. One of the suspects, a pregnant woman named Juliette, had been captured by the police. According to her confession, she purposely pretended to fall by the roadside, using Amélie’s compassion to deceive her into coming to her house under the guise of escorting her home. Juliette, along with her husband Antoine, then killed Amélie.
Why did Juliette pretend to fall and deceive Amélie into coming to her house? How was Amélie killed?
It turned out that not long after Juliette and Antoine got married, Antoine found out that Juliette had been harassed by a stranger while they were dating, and she had also engaged in inappropriate relationships with other men. This angered Antoine, and he often abused Juliette. To help her husband find psychological balance, Juliette came up with the idea of finding a girl to satisfy his desires, as compensation to him. After gaining Antoine’s consent, she began searching for a “candidate” for her husband.
On the day of the incident, Juliette targeted the beautiful and tall Amélie, so Juliette pretended to fall, and the kind-hearted Amélie helped her up and escorted her home.
After arriving at the entrance of Juliette’s home, Amélie intended to leave, but Juliette restrained her and lured her into the house with sweet words.
Antoine thought Amélie looked quite attractive, so he chatted with her for a while. As a token of gratitude, he offered her a yogurt. At that time there were two yogurts, one was open, and the other was sealed. The opened yogurt had been spiked with a type of nerve-paralyzing drug. Amélie glanced at the open yogurt and drank it. Soon after, she began to show signs of being in a coma.
Subsequently, Antoine used handcuffs that had been purchased earlier to shackle Amélie to the bed railings, intending to assault her. However, as Amélie was menstruating and due to other reasons, the assault did not take place.
Out of fear of getting caught, Juliette and Antoine decided to kill Amélie. Antoine suffocated Amélie by pressing a pillow over her mouth and nose, while Juliette pressed on Amélie’s legs with her hands, ultimately causing Amélie to suffocate to death. Afterwards, Juliette and Antoine placed Amélie’s body in a woven bag and then into a suitcase, which they later buried on the outskirts.

As a parent, I would like to share with all parents how to teach our teenage or even young adult daughters to protect themselves in this scenario, when a needy stranger asks your daughter for help.
