Don’t Be Like Everyone Else
Dare to stand out.

Everyone is chasing.
Everyone is buying into the promise of “the more, the better”.
Everyone is either stressing about the future or pining for the past.
The disease of modern times is feeling like you don’t have enough.
There has never been a time when people had as much as they do today. Yet, they are more miserable than ever.
We subscribe to the myth that when we have XYZ, we will finally be happy enough and feel accomplished.
The pollution of the planet is only an outward reflection of an inner psychic pollution: millions of unconscious individuals not taking responsibility for their inner space.
— Eckhart Tolle, The Power of Now
Dare to Be Different.
Dare to stand out in the crowd where everyone is busy on their hamster wheels.
Learn to stand still for a moment.
When you tap into the present moment, you recognize that all is well. There is nothing to fear or worry about.
Happiness is found in decluttering your life, not accumulating more.
You Already Have Enough.
It is natural to strive for comfort and stability. But it is unhealthy to chase one thing after another without appreciating what you already have.
If you cannot appreciate the food on your table today, you won’t find happiness in tomorrow’s success.
If you find it hard to love people in your life today, the idealized relationship you long for will not bring you happiness either.
Pause and Appreciate Life as It Is.
Life becomes easier when you let go of things that weigh you down instead of chasing the next thing that holds the promise of boosting your happiness.
Happiness is an internal affair, not an outside spectacle.
Tomorrow, you can be gone from this world. People you know can disappear in a flash of a second.
Don’t take for granted your life as it is right now.
Meditate on the possibility of losing what you have today, and observe how your appreciation rises.
It is crucial to contemplate that you will not be here forever. It makes you reevaluate where you are going and how well you live today.
Your time on earth in this body is limited. Make the best use of it.
Accept what you cannot change. In the face of mortality, many of your worries lose their toll.
Refuse to waste your time succumbing to worrying, overthinking and fearing rejection.
Go Out and Seek the Beauty of This World.
- the rain.
- the moon and the stars.
- the leaves falling and seasons ending.
- the flowers blooming and new beginning.
- the song of the nightingale.
- the smile of a stranger.
- the sun setting over the horizon.
- the first taste of your morning coffee.
- the ride in your car and your precious tune on the radio.
- the warm nights of July.
- the sweet taste of a strawberry.
While everyone is walking with their noses glued to their smartphones, you walk with a spine erect, head high and eyes wide open.
Don’t allow the magnificence of this world to pass you by.
While everyone is sleeping, you celebrate life waking up with the sunrise.
Finding joy in little things is a shortcut to a meaningful life. When you find purpose in every step you take, you become wired with happiness.
When you learn to cherish small moments of your existence, you get to uncover the world previously hidden from view.
Isn’t it magic? It has always been right under your nose. You just couldn’t see it.
To greet the day with the singing of birds.
To meditate while the word is still asleep.
To walk barefoot on the wet grass.
To stroll through the forest cherishing the sun shining through the trees.
Oh, there you caught it — the magic of the present moment.
Don’t lose it.
Don’t take it for granted.
Everyone is chasing. Dare to be different. Dare to stand out.
Thank you for being here, — Kate
