Donald Trump is The Best at What he Does
Don’t hate him because you ain’t him
Donald Trump, the president of the United States, the business mogul. The man behind the mask.
He is a master at what he does, but before we get into his greatness, let me assure you, I am neither a supporter nor a hater of Trump. However, there are too many of you who hate him because he’s an ”orange toddler,” and too many of you who love him because you use social media as a viable source of news.
So, let’s get real here.
Why Trump is awesome!
Donald Trump may not seem like the brightness crayon in the box (we still have a brighter orange in there); however, he didn’t win in 2016 or have as many followers as he does now, from being cute.
So, why is he so awesome?
He’s funny
I mean, I don’t know if he tries to be, but he’s made some highly laughable tweets. Shall we?
May-8–2013 Trump tweets
“Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. Is one of the highest – and you all know it! Please don’t feel so stupid or insecure it’s not your fault.”
Some funny comments
“My biggest opponent was the microphone.” —October 3, 2016, after debating Hillary Clinton
“I have this thing called Twitter and Facebook, which is amazing actually. It’s like owning The New York Times without the losses.” —September 24, 2015, on Morning Joe
“It used to be cars were made in Flint and you couldn’t drink the water in Mexico. Now cars are made in Mexico and you can’t drink the water in Flint.” —September 15, 2016, at the Economic Club of New York
“Maybe she fainted at how good-looking I am.” —January 27, 2016, after a woman collapsed at a rally in Gilbert, South Carolina
Did you know that after President Trump inferred at a White House meeting that consuming disinfectants could alleviate COVID-19? The governor of Maryland said that hundreds of people phoned in afterward, asking if it was safe to drink bleach.
However, what does that say about not only him, but his supporters?
He’s a character
Have you seen Trump live? He’s goofy from his head bobs, down to his two-handed water drinking. People love to criticize him daily; it’s like they are obsessed with his quirks.
Nostradamus predicted it in 1555:
“Come the millennium, month 12, in the home of greatest power, the village idiot will come forth to be acclaimed the leader.”
The man is good at holding attention. He’s similar to a cartoon. (Cue the Looney Tunes theme.) The way he carries himself, how genuinely amusing, and my opinion, his ability to play “the fool” are what a lot of people love about him. He’s like the class clown.
Being a “character” is not always a good thing; lots of leaders who ended up being horrible people were excellent characters. Any Disney villain You say he’s likable because of his goofy ignorance.
Yet then we have to ask ourselves the question, do you know anybody who acts like President Trump? Do you know anybody who makes ignorant statements? We’re all human, we all do it. The question is, should a leader do it?
Why Trump isn’t so awesome
Trump has made some not so “funny” comments about race, religion, competition, and even handicapped people. That’s kind of shitty.
He has made numerous “fake news” speeches, comments, and posts throughout his reign, and even before that.
Here are some of his “not so awesome” moments.
Trump made statements in 1991 about black men counting his casino money.
“Laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that.”
In 2015 Trump made a statement about U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., a naval aviator who was captured and beaten in Vietnam.
“He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured, OK?”
A 1989 interview with Time magazine he said this.
“Who the f knows? I mean, really, who knows how much the Japs will pay for Manhattan property these days?”
The list goes on.
Trumps “truths”
Not all of what Trump has done, has been a joke or a lie. He has done some good.
- He Pulled the United States out of the Iranian nuclear deal.
- He implemented tighter work requirements for food stamps.
- He has got NATO allies to cough up more money for our collective security. Allies have increased defense spending by $130 billion since 2016.
- His withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty is delivering China and North Korea a strategic setback.
- He ordered the operation that killed Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
- His take on the news media and not back down, exposing bias and agenda-driven journalism.
- Create millions of new jobs (the White House claims as many as 3 million) and bring unemployment down to 3.9 percent, the lowest since 2000. (for now.)
- The Space Force is the first new military service since the US Air Force was created in 1947.
- Prison reform. (The act was the culmination of a bi-partisan effort to improve criminal justice outcomes, as well as to reduce the size of the federal prison population while also creating mechanisms to maintain public safety.)
- Trump has said he would donate his presidential salary rather than keep it, and every year he has done precisely that.
- He is pushing back against other countries charging tariffs on US goods.
There are more, however, let’s get to the bad.
Trumps “lies”
For Trump’s diehard supporters, there are some things you need to realize.
He has made some horrible, cocky, ignorant advances in history.
Shall we?
- He attacks the media.
- He’s idiotic handling of COVID-19
- Trump proposed major changes to the National Environmental Protection Act. Under Trump, protections for many rivers, streams, and wetlands were now officially removed.
- The Trump administration placed immigration restrictions on Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Myanmar, and Kyrgyzstan.
- He lies incessantly.
- He instituted a “no trans” in the military policy, telling our trans veterans and trans service members they were unwanted.
- He instituted a Muslim travel ban, which told people of an entire religion they were unwanted
- He instituted a policy to separate children of undocumented immigrants from their parents
- He pardoned Joe Arpaio.
- Significant boosts to fossil fuel production.
- Tens of thousands of people have lost health insurance by administrative fiat.
- Pulling the plug on teen pregnancy prevention.
- Deliberately raising ACA premiums for 7.3 million people.
- Allowing more employers to deny their workers coverage for contraception.
- America first, to him, means America alone.
- Putting more children in cages and separating them from their parents and not keeping records of their whereabouts.
- Doing nothing about gun reform and the mass shootings; still in bed with the NRA.
- Asking the leader of Ukraine to dig up dirt on an opponent.
I could go on. For many more pages. However, the point of all this is, in fact, he isn’t a golden God. Yea, he has done some good, but does it outweigh the bad?
