Dominated Liberty
Empathy is bound & gagged — A poem
Dominated by empathy that tried to convince me that my total honestly is punishment for my liberty. Secrets that are full of broken self-promises are full of fantasies. Lessons learnt are as claustrophobic as the point of view. Pretending the delay never wanted to fight in the first place. The excitement gets pushed back into a contradicting accident. Abilities going nowhere while reliving a past restrained temper. The pressure that served the purpose is kept from absolution. My future cannot follow the same conclusion. I never thought my self-dishonesty would dominate my liberty.
I never thought my empathy would go beyond its limits of overthinking the cry for help that left me in tears.
