Doing These 7 Things Everyday Will Unlock Your Full Potential

Here’s how you become the best version of yourself

Are you an ambitious person with no time and energy to do anything on your to-do list?

I used go to sleep every day thinking about what I will do in the morning, only to fail myself again and again. At the end of the day, I want to beat myself up but I can’t do anything but start again the next day.

I thought I needed motivation. But one day it will be there, and then the next it will be gone. One thing I found out through my self-improvement journey is that you don’t need to find inspiration in anything that you do. What you need is discipline.

If you want to improve your mind, body, and spirit, try incorporating at least a minute or two of these 7 activities into your daily life.

Imagine spending 10 minutes every day doing these things and realizing that your life has significantly improved in one year.

It sounds simple but not easy. 10 minutes is not a long time. But showing up every day is a challenge for most people. Many of us know what to do to improve our situation, but only a few manage to do the work.

Small habits can be powerful and life-changing in the long run. It can be as easy as giving up 10 minutes of social media time for something that you will thank yourself for one year later. As best-selling author James Clear said, oftentimes, you don’t need to do something so big to see results. Tiny things can add up and give you the results you desire.

For your mind

Imagine trying to work in an office full of old piles of papers, empty water bottles, leftover food, or any other kind of mess you can think of.

That’s how your mind feels when you try to work on so many things without first decluttering your head.

Your body cannot function properly without the right mindset. Here are some ways you can achieve a peaceful state:

Start here

I’m not going to discuss the scientific benefits of prayer and meditation here. We all know there are too many. I also won’t mention the names of successful people who meditate every day. We all know that’s the common denominator of people we look up to. What I’m going to tell you is to spend a minute of prayer and meditation every day and see the magic work. Do it every single day for thirty days. No exceptions — whether you work 12-hour shifts or you are on vacation. Again, one minute is all it takes.

Note: If you have extra time to spare, I would recommend to search and do the Wim Hof guided breathing (10 minutes). Yoga can also be a good thing to practice. It benefits your mind and your body at the same time.

Write it down

Writing your thoughts helps you think clearly. The reason why we feel too busy and occupied is that we try to store every information in our head when we can write them down instead.

Write all the things you worry about in your journal. Write everything you feel grateful about. Write everything you want to think about and you will feel that you will be more focused on the present. You will have more energy to do things you need to accomplish at the moment.

Read

When you have nothing to think and write about, read. Reading feeds your mind with healthy thoughts. People who read have immediate access to the information from the greatest minds in history. How cool is that?

Say it to yourself

I thought it was silly to do affirmations. People who talk to themselves are crazy, right? It turns out the other way around. Saying affirmations sends a signal to your brain and your whole body starts to believe it. Imagine a child constantly being told that he is smart by a parent. This kid will most likely grow up to be smart. That’s how your own affirmations work, too.

Fake it until you make it

Visualization works the same way. When you become clear about what you want, your mind cannot recognize that it’s only in your imagination. In return, you start acting as if this thing is your reality. If you can visualize every day that you have a lot of money, you start acting as if you have a lot of money and in turn, you will attract money.

For your body

Be careful what you consume.

I hate eating healthy. Part of me thinks that I should eat everything I want to eat and just enjoy life while I’m here on earth. The other part of me feels groggy, lazy, and always sleepy whenever I eat too much sugar. So whenever I want to eat something, I ask myself first, is this food going to give me pleasure or energy? The answer should always be the latter.(Plus healthy foods make my skin glow).

Move around

When you move your body, you tell your mind to start working too. As a result, you’re not only in a physical state of performing your tasks but you also condition your mind to be productive. Aside from this, exercising improves your overall health.

To End

Doing these 7 things will not directly get you the job that you want. They will not also make your friends deposit the money that you want in your bank account. Doing them helps you become the best version of yourself so you can be ready to achieve whatever you want in life.

A fit body and a calm mind will lead you to wherever you want to be.
