Dogs Get Old And Tired Just As People Do
Life goes on until death arrives

Dogs are valuable family members
Annie is a fairly large dog who came to live with her family along with her sister Jenny, who was chocolate color and was older. The dogs were adopted and were not blood sisters. The family with whom they had lived asked the new family to take the two dogs because they were moving away.
Jenny and Annie had a good life with the new family, but then Jenny passed away. Annie was lonely without Jenny.
Death comes to every person and every dog at some time. Everyone knows that death is inevitable. No one knows when it will come exactly, but it is a certainty that it will come.

Annie is old now. She had not been trained to be an inside dog. The new family tried to let her be inside the house, but she had too many accidents so she is relegated to the garage and back yard. She comes to the back patio door and looks longingly inside. She wants attention and treats, which she occasionally receives.

Some old people and old dogs do not have much to do. Life can be boring for them. They may be lonely and want company.

Annie does get taken out for walks, but she is slow now. Whereas she used to run and be a little difficult to handle, her owners now must take a slow pace with her. She no longer runs ahead. She is old and tired.
Just as people age and lose their vitality, it has happened to Annie. Her time on the earth may be coming to a close sooner rather than later. She can live happily until her time comes.
