The path’s steep, but I’m here.

This is my challenge entry for the 6-Word Photo Story Summer Challenge, having been nominated by Mary Chang Story Writer.

Thanks, Mary! I’m happy to accept the challenge. I took this photo out on a walk with this beautiful creature, Islay the two-year-old cocker spaniel. The lush greenery in Scotland at this time of year requires a lot of rain and a moderate amount of sunshine. And Islay requires plenty of walks no matter what the weather throws at us.

She was waiting patiently for me to stop messing about with my camera and keep climbing up the path when I captured this moment. I was glad to stop for a rest before we kept going. She only ever runs on for a little way and then comes back to check where I’ve got to.

Life isn’t so bad when you have someone furry to share it with.
