Leg training is very unpopular with most people. I can understand why. I’ve had severe muscle pain a few times after, making walking up and down stairs a torture.

Not only does it look stupid to have an extremely wide torso and very thin legs, there are also other good reasons to train your legs.

Testosterone Response To Exercise

I often heard that leg training in particular increases testosterone levels. To understand why this is the case, we first need to understand how exercise, in general, affects testosterone release and what factors influence how much testosterone is released.

First of all, it is important to note that almost any type of training increases testosterone release. Not only leg training. Especially resistance training is effective to increase the male sex hormone. Why should leg training, in particular, be so effective in increasing testosterone?
