My focus is on everything and nothing. How can I ever get good at something?

Since childhood I am dreaming to be an artist. Instead of focusing on it, I do something else.

I got a master degree in Information Technology. Why was there nobody to send me to the arts school? How could this happen? Who misdirected me?

Occasionally I had an outburst and then I would draw or paint for weeks in a row. Each such episode would last for 2 or 3 month. Then the inspiration faded away and it was as if it was gone forever and as if it would have never happened.
