Mr. President Javier Milei, Avoid the Ridiculous!

In the digital corridors of Platform X, President Milei’s statement resonates with an intriguing irony:

“@JMPresidente23 ‘You are witnessing the best president in history’”.

This bold proclamation harks back to the irony of a famous aphorism: “The wealthy person’s joke is always funny”.

Often, the wealthy are surrounded by many servants and sycophants who find humour even in the most humourless jokes.

However, the incumbent tasked with leading a country mired in the swamp and that has, for a century, walked with its heels facing the future, requires more than narcissistic self-aggrandizement.

It necessitates and demands a leadership that is humble yet exacting, one that acknowledges the pitfalls of overconfidence and possesses the wisdom to learn from the past.

The Perils of Distraction

History shows us that leaders like former Presidents Donald Trump T(@realDonaldTrump) and Jair Bolsonaro (@jairbolsonaro) often lost their main focus, distracted by trivialities.

In a message for the end of the year 2023, I wished President Milei, nicknamed ‘El Loco’ in the media for his astonishing eccentricities, good luck.

I must confess, I am convinced that only a ‘Madman’, in the best sense of the term, can dare to challenge the madness of Argentina (Consider some examples):

In my congratulations to the new President of Argentina, I suggested he avoid the mistakes of the former Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro, who,

Whenever he saw a banana peel across the street, would run to slip on it 🍌.

Before Bolsonaro, the former American President Donald Trump, who was not accustomed to walking the streets to mingle with his supporters, never missed an opportunity to slip on tweets on the Blue Bird that turned into X.

As I recently said in a comment on X that inspired this POST (Replying to @JMPresidente23 and @JMilei), I hope President Milei does not request SpaceX (@SpaceX) for a spacewalk to confirm the extent of the misery he inherited from the Argentine economy 🚀.

Indeed, he has already shown that he knows it well.

I hope President Milei’s collaborators do not let him ascend to the clouds in a balloon full of ego and narcissism!

The satirical blend of politics and cosmic adventure underlined in the previous image highlights the need for President Milei to proceed with caution, avoiding the metaphorical banana peels and the tweets that led his predecessors astray.

A focus on substantive governance, rather than sensationalism, is what Argentina needs.

A Joyful and Substantive Presidency

President Milei won the elections because the electorate lost hope in the cynical normality of politically correct promoters.

Why not give it a chance?

Yes, give a chance to a visionary, endowed with libertarian ideas, with the courage to confront the interventionism and dirigisme of the parasitic guardians of public affairs.

President Milei’s mandate is to face his country’s challenges head-on as a ‘Determined Reformer’.

It is his duty to honour a beautiful phrase from his electoral campaign, which Milei reaffirmed in his end-of-year 2023 speech:

“It is better to speak an uncomfortable truth than a comfortable lie.”

Time will tell if this beautiful statement, usually common in electoral periods, is not relegated to oblivion and contradicted in future actions.

In this perspective, the President must lead Argentina without falling into ridicule, guiding the Argentinians to a future where citizens can laugh with him, and not at him, about the real achievements and accomplishments he attains.

In the digital era, the image of the president, steadfast amidst banana peels and Twitter symbols, should represent the perfect blend of seriousness and modernity against an urban backdrop, hinting at economic futurism with Bitcoin. 🚀🌍🇦🇷

There are aspects in this brief commentary that could be more detailed.

I believe and hope that the year 2024 will be for Argentina the year of restoration, thanks to effective reforms implemented by President Milei, with the support of a people eager and hungry for economic and social progress that dignifies them.
