Does my FB friend-counter include my imaginary friends?

Or is my writing more real than my social media?

My social media buds may be called “followers,” “likes” or “friends.” Some of them may chat with me. Some can even be purchased on certain websites.

Occasionally, they feed my ego. Sometimes they will look good on a resume. Otherwise, they do not exist. At least they are not of any other value.

They are fun but don't add much to anyone’s life experience. And they don’t make me a dime.

But here’s the deal about my real imaginary friends. Sometimes we co-author a story. Other times, they only inspire the story or refine it by asking me the right questions.

Then sometimes all they do is leave people wondering about me and whether or not I really believe they exist.
