Does Elon Musk rule the world now?

Is it his world and we’re all just living in it?

As a child, I would stand on top of the semicircle monkey bars and shout:

“I’m the king of the world!”

I mean, at 8 years old, what child didn’t? I knew that dream would never come true for me, or for anyone for that matter.

But that seems to be changing.

In what feels like a parallel universe, a dream we can’t wake up from, I keep rubbing my eyes and punching myself. But it’s all true.

Elon musk is truly the king of the world. Here’s how he’s doing it:

Musk Wants to Buy Twitter

Each day, over 200 million people use the social media platform Twitter. And why wouldn’t they?

It’s fast, easy, and it lets us say what we want to say in short form writing. It’s become a part of many of our lives. No wonder why Elon Musk wants to buy it.

According to Bloomberg, Musk offered to take Twitter Inc. private in a $43 billion deal. In doing so, he says he can unlock the “extraordinary potential” of the platform. He said he would pay $54.20 per share in cash, 38% above the price on April 1. Those are a lot of numbers to chew on.

But I guess when you’re a billionaire valued at roughly $265 billion, you can do whatever the hell you want. In essence, become king of the world.

I’m not sure how I feel about all of this. I don’t think I would buy a social media platform if I had that kind of money. There again, there’s no way any of us would have that kind of money.

None of them have started multiple million-dollar companies over the years. If Musk wants to do this, though, then let him. It would make world history.

I Guess We Just See What Happens

Will Musk take over the world? If he keeps taking steps like these, he will. But will he?

Will our daily lives be affected? Will we still be able to live how we want to live after he buys Twitter. I’m not sure there is a correct answer, but it’s something to be concerned about.

Maybe Musk really did claim himself “king of the world” on top of those monkey bars at 8 years old. And maybe this is his way of claiming that title.

I’m interested to see how this all plays out.

Closing Thoughts

I’ve never been one to take full focus on a tech guru like Musk. But anymore, it seems we are all living in his world. Maybe we are. It’s hard to say.

Hopefully, our lives won’t change, and we can live however we choose. If not, well, I guess I will have to write another article about the matter.

In the meantime, let Musk do as he chooses. Just so long as we can live our lives too.
