Do You Worry About Your Earnings?
Expansion is the answer
Do you look at your stats and earnings and think to yourself,
“What on earth can i do to increase my earnings, like today?”
“What can i do to 10X my earnings.”
I don't check my stats every day, but I certainly know how it feels.
Almost like you don't make much progress on a month-to-month basis, but you certainly learn lots of new things that make you more capable.
You research by reading various articles with hopes of getting some answers to your concerns, but they all say the same thing.
- Post consistently.
- Engage with others writers.
- Stick by the guidelines.
- Make sure you get curated.
I'm sure you've implemented all of these rules. Don't get me wrong, these rules are very useful. However, it's even more important to relate to your audience.
Sometimes, you can follow every rule, and still get nowhere.
If you're finding yourself in this situation, I get you, I'm there too.
Now, Let Me Try To Shift Your Thinking.
The answer is,
You need to expand your brand.
Medium is a fantastic platform, however, after a while, you've got to look elsewhere.
Now, I'm not telling you to leave Medium alone completely. I'm just saying that you need to do something alongside it.
- Perhaps an Amazon business, where you could turn your posts into E-Books.
- Create a course where you can teach others a skill set you've mastered.
- If you love art, figure out a strategy to get some sales digitally.
There are just so many ways we could expand to increase our income.
Medium is great, however, in my opinion, and experience can only go so far. Especially if you're not that great at writing like me.
I would say that the best-case scenario is to make your articles go further. Turning them into courses and books is one way to make them work harder for you.
One piece of content, multiple sources of earning from that one piece.
It's also important to understand that,
Writing is a skill that takes practice and consistency, and can be perfected with time.
It’s important to write with purpose and without expectations to gain something.
You’ll see that everything will follow.

If you're checking your earnings very often, and you're not seeing an increase, please don’t be disheartened.
Chances are that you're really just a few tweaks away from the results you're looking for.
The truth to gaining more wealth, in my opinion, is doing something alongside Medium and expanding your brand elsewhere too.
I'm sure you've already heard of the phrase.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket, it makes a lot of sense when we talk about our earnings.
