You already have the ability to do so

How can a person predict their future? The only way to predict your future is to create it actively.

What you do — or don’t do today — creates your future.

We have so much more control over our destiny than we believe we do. What I am today lies in the choices I made yesterday. What I will become lies in the choices and actions I make today.

Lesson to Learn

When we are young, we want to know about our future. As we get older, we ask the same questions.

However, my experiences have taught me that much of what I am now living is rooted in the decisions I made many years ago and yesterday.

Success is created moment by moment.

Our lives are only lived moment by moment. The past we cannot change. The future is not yet.

This moment is all I have. If I use it wisely, it creates my destiny. This is true even during the most challenging times of our lives. Yes, even during a pandemic.

Answer for Me

I am mostly my decisions and actions.

Today I am a successful husband, father, friend, organizational leader, community member, and thought-leader. Although we all define success differently, I am very blessed and humbled by how my life has evolved.

I made many daily choices on how I would live. Some I regret and, when appropriate, apologized for them. Most I embrace as my authentic life.

Our freedom of choice is our greatest asset in creating our future. Our circumstances limit us. Many limitations bind us.

However, it is what we do within the constraints that give us the chance to live our dreams. When I make good choices today for me, I create my present and my future.

Action

Take responsibility for your daily decisions and moments. They will define your past, present, and future.

You only can live in the moment. We can learn from our past.

Our future is in no small measure defined by what we decide to do and act on today.

Spend time reflecting on your life. What has it been? What can you learn from your past? What will you do with today? How will today create the future you want?

We are thinking about people. And, our actions, more than any words, will define what we are and what we are becoming.

Invest in your future daily by being your authentic self. This does take commitment, learning, and bold action.

However, if you do it well, you get to create the exciting future you want to have. Never underestimate the power of daily decisions and actions to create the future you always dreamed of.

Daily Habits

Your daily choices and habits create your future one moment at a time. Your cumulative moments define your life.

Choose in each moment to be who you want to be and become.

Learn from the past moments, but do not dwell on them. When you own each moment, you remain in control of your life. Don’t let others dictate who you are and who you become.
