Do You Want To Make A Full Time Income Of Writing? A 30 Day Experiment
Self Publish, Publications, daily writing, what really works?
It’s the beginning of the month, and if you have been on medium-long enough, you know what that means.
Stats time, what someone made or didn’t make.
I am guilty; I read them all. Like a guilty pleasure, curled up under my blanket with a flashlight, I feel like I will be grounded if I get caught.
I like to see the encouragement drizzled throughout the post is great to see; a little motivation to keep going. It shows that there is hope; this writing online does work. I can tell you it works.
I have also seen some articles where people are disappointed in their earnings, and for you, I say keep going!
To earn any money in a creative venture, you have to be in it for the long run! Plus, when you work hard, I feel that the reward and payoff always seem that much better.
I have been writing consistently since Mid-October, and in November, I was writing twice a day for two weeks. I had two articles that got a lot of attention, surprising to me; I don’t even think I had Grammarly yet, sorry!
December and January, I just wrote daily, my earnings were decent, but no articles took off the same as in November. Then in March, I wrote every other day! Not the answer to making it big on Medium; I had the worst month since October!
I would like to do an experiment here on Medium.
Go back to where it all began; I plan to publish two articles a day, one self publish and submit the second to a publication. At the end of the month, see what pieces perform better, see what my stats are, and report back on how this monthly experiment goes.
A little experiment on Medium, self-publishing vs. publication, and how much you should be publishing?
The experiment begins, now.
XOXO
