Do You Think These People Are Racist Or Not?
When they are against immigrants?
A story about homelessness brought reactions from readers
After a story was published on NewsBreak about homelessness, there were some reactions criticizing the government for not doing more to help the homeless in the United States. Some of those comments were against illegal immigrants or perhaps immigrants in general.
Most of those who made derogatory comments about immigrants were targeting illegals who have come from across the southern border into the United States. Those are people from Mexico and South America.
Some people mentioned immigrants and refugees. Five comments as written were:
Charity begins at home. Government NEEDS to stop helping refugees, immigrants (the ones Biden invited over here) and Foreign countries. My gosh, how hard can it be for our government to take care of their own!!
send all the Illegals back across the border and there will be room for and money for Our Homeless.
Stop allowing those people that Biden is letting in the country. It costs money to take care of them.
I have a answer real fast with America homeless problem. STOP giving FREE government aid to other countries and illegals . they seemed to get more help from the government then the homeless and struggling families ,veterans, older people, people on SSI or SSDI and anyone I forgot. Take of your own FIRST
I agree!
Do you think the people who made those comments are racist? They could be.
Some seem to be against even the refugees from Afghanistan even though they are being treated quite well by the general public in the United States.
Some comments were against the homeless saying that they needed to be run out and that the government needs to get tough with them so that the whole United States does not become like California.
The homeless do need help to get out of a sad situation. Most do not want to live in those conditions of being in a tent on the street or completely without any shelter.
There are government agencies, corporations, foundations, and individuals who are doing what they can to help. It is a huge problem, but there should be solutions.
A little more kindness and compassion from the general public could help.
