Do You Think About Having to Give an Account One Day?
The Bible is clear that each one of us will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV
Additionally, Jesus Christ made the following statement:
“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” ~ Matthew 12:36 KJV
As I go about my daily life, I continually remind myself that my Heavenly Father is watching everything I say and do. He also knows what I am thinking!
Some questions I like to regularly ask myself include:
- Do I do the right thing even when no other human being is watching?
- Do I refrain from gossiping about others?
- Do I speak kindly to my family, coworkers, and strangers?
- Am I a cheerful giver?
- Are my thoughts pure?
- Do I grant forgiveness to those who apologize to me?
- Do I study the Bible regularly?
Beloved reader, I want to remind you to think about the fact that you will one day face the judgment seat of Christ. He sees everything you do; He hears everything you say, and He knows your thoughts!
May none of us go through our lives as though He isn’t watching!
In conclusion, I leave you with one more verse:
“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” Revelation 20:12 KJV
