This is a publication that showcases the best in movies and television. I’ve always loved both. If you love them too, this is a place for you to come and share what you know and love about them with me and everyone else.

Celebrities

News is okay; gossip is not. I hate gossip.

Fact check, fact check, fact check.

We all love reading about what are favorite stars are doing. So, if you know something interesting, definitely share it with us, using the tags “Pop Culture,” “Celebrity,” or “Famous People.”

Detailed submission guidelines

1. ONLY stories fitting into one of the above categories will be selected for this publication, but the wide range of topics contained within each category should give you plenty of ideas to work with.
2. Once you have been added as a writer for Lights! Camera! Action!, please submit your story in draft form. You CAN submit something you’ve already published (either on Medium or your own site), as long as it has not previously been published in another Medium publication.
3. Your stories should be between 500 and 2500 words.
4. You should include at least one adequately credited image. High-quality royalty-free images are available on Unsplash.com, and it’s easy to credit the source. Just click “copy” when you download the photo, and paste the credit in the caption area under the photo after you add it to your story.
5. All submissions should be “PG” in content and language. I will be checking, and pieces not following this guideline will be either edited or rejected.
6. Please only submit English-language stories. I would greatly appreciate it if you would thoroughly edit your piece before submitting, but I’ll more than likely be editing them anyway, since I’m an editor. It will just take me that much longer to accept and publish your story if I have to edit it extensively.
