A NCIC Is Not Just Human, but a New Species: A ‘GodMan.’ They Live Powerfully as ‘A New Creation in Christ.’
A NCIC Lives By the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus
A NCIC perceives and responds to life differently, and lives life having what might be called ‘Leaky Margins.’ NCICs are ‘separated’ to the gospel (Rom 1:1), and they are ‘of the truth’ (John 18:37). They ‘continue in the gospel,’ living life in it (Col 1:23–25). This is the way God makes his thoughts and ways known to us (Isa 55:8).
The gospel is called a ‘mystery,’ but God reveals it to those who seek to know it. It’s the way God tells us the SECRETS of his Kingdom. “The glory of God is to conceal a matter; the glory of kings is to search out a matter” (Pro 25:2). In the gospel we’re all called ‘kings.’ And God never hides his gospel truth so we can’t find it. It’s often in plain sight if we just open our eyes.
Without living in God’s gospel truth, it’s like we’re on a never ending merry-go-round of both worldly and religious thinking. Most of it is at least confusing, if not wrong.
The Present Corona Virus Plague
As I write this, we’re in the Corona Virus Plague. As you read reports of so many differing and varied opinions — from many supposedly notable and trustworthy people — you don’t know what to believe. You wonder if anyone knows what they are talking about. It’s like everyone says everyone else is not to be believed. Talk about confusing!
NCICs don’t get caught up in all the fear and related emotions that most folks do when it comes to the virus. They are aware of it and it’s potential dangers, but they don’t engage the negative thinking so many do. “They know God ‘has their number,’ knows when they are going to die, and they place their faith and trust in him. If they ‘go,’ they go to a better place.
NCICs live in God’s gospel truth and are confident and competent in what they believe. Otherwise, the Bible says we are unstable and ‘double-minded.’
Living in God’s ways brings benefits and blessings. Living in other ways often brings a curse. NCICs walk The Gospel Road. It’s paved with God’s grace, love and peace. They know they’re safer on this road than anyplace else.
NCICs know that only God’s gift of his Son Jesus, and the gift of his gospel makes Christianity unique. Take the gospel out of Christianity and all you have is some human-contrived religion!
This is how NCICs PROFIT in life: believing in Jesus, and in God’s gospel. Then they just live it in faith and trust (Heb 4:2).
Those who do not believe and live the gospel are still NCICs, if their faith is in the finished work of the cross of Jesus. But if they don’t live the gospel, they can’t know revelation of God’s truth, power and grace.
They don’t know their identity as NCICs, so they can’t live in this identity. They don’t live as a ‘New Creation In Christ,’ — as a new species: a GodMan.
As is said, “You can’t consistently act and live, on the outside, different from what you think and believe, on the inside.
It’s like buying a car, but just letting it sit in your garage and not driving it. You’ll never know all it can do, or all the blessings and benefits it can give you. You can look at it and say, “That’s real nice!” But you’ll never experience its power and ability.
Christians do this with the gospel. Thus Hebrews says they don’t PROFIT.
NCICs know. In the gospel, they are like King Solomon in the Old Testament. His knowledge and wisdom was sought after by many people, even of other countries. They wanted what he had to rub off on them.
God answered Solomon’s prayers for wisdom and knowledge, and NCICs know their prayers for wisdom and knowledge will be too (Eph 1:17–19).
The gospel is the testimony of God and it gives us the mind of Christ (Col 2:16). Jesus becomes our wisdom (I Cor 1:30). God lets us learn and experience life in the way we choose to (Ps 25:12).
God does not arm-wrestle us into his gospel. But NCICs know God’s secrets are ours in the gospel (Ps 25:14). The gospel is the power of God in us (Rom 1:16). In the gospel, we live in God’s presence and power.
