Life now is building life later.

You now build your later self.

If you are wondering whether or not you’re doing the best you can now, is to ask your future self.

Ask your 5 years older self.

How do you want him/her to feel?

1-Motivation: Is it everything?

Motivation is divided into two parts.

Inner motivation and outer motivation.

Inner motivation comes from within, no matter what people say about your passion, you will inevitably continue with what you’re doing, stubbornness.

Your inner motivation connects with your passion, it’s something that can’t be moved. It is there no matter what happens.

It’s when you really WANT it, and you desire the outcome of it.

Inner motivation is of course the foundation of being motivated, and the root of being strict about what you’re doing.

In contrast to outer motivation, which is very temporary motivation.

But its effectiveness is more powerful, you will get so passionate about this thing in 2 minutes.

But don’t be surprised if it vanishes, because that’s what’s going to happen if you strive to get inspiration instead of investing in yourself to get better motivation.

Examples of outer motivation sources:

  • Youtube videos
  • Motivational speakers
  • A favorite character

So, Is it important to have motivation?

Otherwise, what’s going to push you to work on your dreams?

So you have to feel something in order to continue with it.

Motivation is an essential pillar in the process. Otherwise, you will not know how to begin.

2-Goals:

Goals are the main reason why you are brought to a certain place.

You set approachable, possible goals to know your next direction in life.

So in 5 years, you will be at…

You name it

Set goals for yourself too, mini-goals, to get to a bigger goal, for example:

You want to be a writer and own an office for yourself.

first, you have to be a writer, you should work on that.

So taking courses, or studying at uni will be a mini-goal to the bigger goal: which is to become a writer and own an office.

It’s enjoyable to have a thing to strive for in this life, there are so many things you probably want to become, just open your eyes to the world and see what you really want to do, and I kid you not, you will be very successful at the field you chose.

Because out of every field in this world, you chose one.

3: Time management:

In order to figure out what you want to be in 5 years from now. You have to understand the concept of time.

Time goes very quickly when you are busy, or when you are scrolling on your phone.

Does scrolling on your phone for hours do something for your future self? Mentally, physically?

It is neither good for your mental health or physical health.

Why invest in it?

Time is organizing, it’s planning, and using it wisely will transform your life.

Time can be used for both good and bad things.

So if you want your future self to be better, you have to be willing to use your time on beneficial things.

5 years later, is now.

How?

When you think about it, you are building for your next year, next month, next week.

When you look at it, you are building yourself for the upcoming 5 years, isn’t that crazy?

Think of it like a Lego building, you begin with the first Lego, and then the second, which will then build a whole figure, nothing was there, but eventually it turned out to be something big and important.

It’s just time that did it, with your effort.

4-Habits:

These are very important to understand. It’s related to time management.

Habits are also building you, they are building you in every aspect you can think of, mentally, physically, and financially.

Every bad habit you have will make you worse in the future if you continue with it.

And it will worsen with time.

Smoking will always be a habit if you don’t cut it.

It will have the worst outcomes if it’s still a habit.

A good habit will make you better. Even if it’s small and unrecognizable.

Example:

Let’s say you order food every day and you don’t have food at home.

You decide to challenge yourself and cook a meal once a week.

Let’s see what happens here:

Physically: better body, and overall health, because now you’re a bit healthier

Mentally: you are stable in your body, so your mental health will recognize it and improve

Financially: You save 20 dollars every day. 140 dollars every week. 560 dollars every month. 560 dollars is more than enough to buy groceries for a whole month.

You can’t realize how big of an impact changing these habits are. Or replacing bad ones with better ones.

So your future self would be very happy if you just begin with doing something better every day.

Conclusion:

Having a good mindset will make you set goals.

Goals will create motivation.

Motivation will make you understand time.

Understanding time will make you question your habits.
