Do You Get Tired Of The Bragging On Medium?
Or do the success stories inspire you?
People are writing about bonuses and money.
There seems to be a proliferation of stories on Medium these days from writers who received all four of the $500 bonuses or those who received some bonuses. People are writing about their success on the platform.
Some people are telling about their failures.
Are they writing to make themselves feel better or are they telling you about their success to inspire you so that you can achieve what they have done? There are probably some of both.
The really TOP writers don’t seem to be writing about the money so much these days. When I first joined Medium, there was an article by someone who said she earned $5,000 in her fifth month and went to $10,000 in her sixth month. It climbed from there. That sounded encouraging. Stating her background, she suggested that ANYONE could make money on Medium.
That does not seem to be the case for most people. With over 40,000 writers and only possibly 7% making even as much as $100 a month, you can figure that most people are making only a few dollars on Medium.
Lisa Martens recently wrote that she had received all four $500 bonuses but not the $200 fellowship. She was glad because it seems that she might make much more without it.
Tony Yiu wrote about averaging around $1,000 a month in earnings for 2021 plus the $500 bonuses. That sounds really good.
Congratulations to both Lisa and Tony on doing so well. We all wish we could do as well (unless we are at the top rung of the ladder making many thousands each month).
You don’t need to get tired of reading anything that sounds like bragging because you don’t have to read it if you don’t like it.
It may sound like people are bragging, but maybe they are not. They might be trying to tell you about their success because they want you to know that it is possible for you as well.
